Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) is a company limited by shares as a private limited concern. Its equity is entirely owned by the Government of Pakistan. The basic mandate of the Corporation is to promote foreign employment for Pakistani citizens. The Corporation has so far provided foreign employment to over 1,34,000 Professionals, Highly Skilled, Skilled and Semi-Skilled workers. Apart from meeting the precise standards of foreign employers, the Corporation also acts as a Protector of Emigrants and looks after the interests of Pakistanis proceeding on foreign employment.
