GENEAL REQUIREDMENTS:

 

2.      Minimum requirements for a lecturer is a Master degree in relevant field with at least 3 years teaching experience in tertiary teaching and must show inclination towards research and publication. A Senior Lecturer should have a Ph.D in relevant field with at least 5 years teaching experience in tertiary teaching and a proven record in research and publication. An Associate Professor and a Professor should have outstanding academic record of teaching, research and publication and an established international reputation.

 

 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

 

3.    The appointment will be on a permanent basis for citizens of Brunei Darussalam. For non-citizens, appointment will be by contract for a period of three years which is renewable subject to mutual agreement.

 

                                       The annual salary range as follows:-

Professor

 B$ 70,800

Associate Professor

 B$ 64,800

Senior Lecturer

 B$ 55,200 – B$ 62,400

Lecturer

 B$ 33,720 – B$ 50,880

                                       Academic allowance as follows:-

Professor

 B$ 1000.00 per month

Associate Professor

 B$ 800.00 per month

Senior Lecturer

 B$ 600.00 per month

Lecturer [ with Ph.D]

 B$ 500.00 pr month

Lecturer [without Ph.D]

 B$ 300.00 per month

Other benefits (for contract staff):

a). Bonus [1 month salary for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, ˝ month salary for

     Associate Professor/Professor] after each 12 months of satisfactory service.
b). Gratuity [25% of last drawn salary x 36 months at the end of the contract].
c). Education allowance and children’s passage.
d). Subsidized housing [staff contribute B$130 per month].
e). Free medical and dental services.
f).  Interest – free car loan.
g). Annual leave of 48 days.
h). Passage and removal allowance.

          At present there is no personal income tax in Brunei Darussalam.

5.   The applicant is also required to provide latest resume filled on Personal History Form, which can be obtained from any office of OEC or downloaded from OEC's website www.oec.gov.pk or by clicking here for publishing candidate’s CV on Internet.

     6.     Those candidates who are interested for free registration with OEC Resume Bank for  a period of six months will be required to fill Personal History Form of the Corporation available with the above offices of the Corporation or may  download from the website of OEC www.oec.gov.pk   Existing members of CV-online service may apply free of cost during their valid period of registration indicating their CV.ID number and attaching above documents.

 

NOTE:-

(a) Government/ Semi-Government employees should apply through proper channel.

(b) No TA/DA will be admissible for Test/Interview.
