Degree in Mechanical Engineering:

 

Candidate must have minimum 10-12 years experience in a large Power Station. He must have worked as a Maintenance Engineer involving routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of a Medium and heavy duty Steam Turbines, Back pressure steam turbines, power pumps, NG gas compressor etc. Should be well experienced in the overhaul/Major/Minor inspections of Steam Turbines and its auxiliaries. Should-have-capability of effectively plan, Monitor overhauls schedule to achieve high-reliability and efficiency of the plant. Should have experience in troubleshooting of the equipment malfunctions and finalize short term/ long-term corrective actions. Should have adequate writing/communication skills to prepare reports, tender specifications, contract documents etc.He shall be responsible for preparation of   maintenance budget, control and effective utilization of the same. Should have experience in spare parts planning, purchase and inspection activities. Should have good knowledge of  computerized Maintenance management system . Should have good knowledge of Safety, OHSAS and ISO standards.

He must have worked as a Maintenance Engineer involving routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of a High pressure Boilers, Heat recovery boilers( NG/LFO firing),High pressure valves, Control valves, Safety Valves, High Pressure piping ,Drum , Burner duct, Diverter Damper ,Boiler tubes /header etc.. Should be well experienced in the overhaul/Major inspection and trouble shooting of Power /Heat recovery boilers and it’s auxiliaries. Should-have-capability of effectively plans. Monitor overhauls schedule to achieve high-reliability and efficiency of the plant. Should have experience in high pressure welding and NDT test applicable in Boiler Tubes and headers. Should have adequate writing/communication skills to prepare reports, tender specifications, contract documents   maintenance budget, control and effective utilization of the same. Having knowledge of standards and practices applicable to Boiler plant equipments will be added advantage. Should have good knowledge of computerized Maintenance Management system Safety, OHSAS and ISO standards etc.

 

4. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer  (Boiler)

    (Desalination)  (MM3)

Degree in Mechanical Engineering:

 

Candidate must have minimum 10-12 years experience in a large Power Station. He must have worked as a Maintenance Engineer involving routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of a of the Desalination  plant of  MSF  technology, including  sea water system, DM water plant, verticals pumps ( BBD/BRP,SEA WATER pumps). Should-have-capability of effectively plan,. Monitor overhauls/Annual   schedule to achieve high-reliability and efficiency of the Desalination   plants. Should have experience in troubleshooting of the equipment malfunctions and finalize short term/ long-term corrective actions. Knowledge of Corrosion technology, including selection of   material for different application will have added advantage. Should have adequate writing/communication skills to prepare reports, tender specifications, contract documents etc. He shall be responsible for preparation of   maintenance budget, control and its effective utilization of it. Suitable candidate must have a good knowledge of standards and practices applicable to Desalination plant equipments. Should have experience in spare parts planning, purchase, inspection activities, computerized Maintenance management system , Safety, OHSAS and ISO standards.

 

 

8. Mechanical Maintenance Engineer  

    (Desalination)  (MM2)

Degree in Mechanical Engineering:

 

Candidate must have minimum 10-12 years experience in a large Power Station. He must have worked as a Maintenance Engineer involving routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of a of the Desalination  plant of  MSF  technology, including  sea water system, DM water plant, verticals pumps ( BBD/BRP,SEA WATER pumps). Should-have-capability of effectively plan,. Monitor overhauls/Annual   schedule to achieve high-reliability and efficiency of the Desalination   plants. Should have experience in troubleshooting of the equipment malfunctions and finalize short term/ long-term corrective actions. Knowledge of Corrosion technology, including selection of   material for different application will have added advantage. 9. Asst. Engineer   (Mechanical Maintenance) 

    (MM1)

6-8 years experience for degree/Diploma holders. Should have worked in a large Power Station of large Petrochemical, Fertilizer factory as a Maintenance Engineer responsible for routine, preventive and breakdown maintenance of a large Power Steam/Gas Turbines, Boilers, and Large Pumps etc. Should have experience in overhaul Major Inspection of Steam or Gas Turbines. Should have capability to effectively plan, schedule, and supervise work with highest reliability and productivity.   Should have experience in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and select corrective actions. Should have adequate writing skills to prepare reports and written documents- shall have a good knowledge of standards and practices applicable to power plant equipment should have experience in spare parts planning, purchase and inspection activities. Should have knowledge in using computerized Maintenance management system effectively over and above good computer use experience. Shall ensure good safety practices in work.

 

 

10. Foreman (Mechanical Maintenance)    (NS4)

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering:

 

6-8 years experience in a large power station or similar field like refinery, petrochemical or fertilizer plant. Shall have experience in overhaul or major inspection of a large Steam / Gas Turbines, pumps, compressors, boilers, high pressure valves, etc. shall have knowledge of international standards on material and machinery fit standard, tolerances. Shall have basic knowledge of ND tests. Shall have experience in planning, scheduling and execution overhaul work. Shall have leadership qualities to lead a team of professional technicians for timely and quality work execution. He should have experience in computer use for data entry and analysis using a maintenance management system software Some of the selected candidates shall have experience in Pipeline fabrication and or overhaul of large vertical and multistage pumps. Candidates with good experience with renowned maintenance / refurbishment contractors will also be considered. Should be safety conscious.

 

 

11. Senior Mechanic           (NS3)

Higher Secondary School Certificate followed by Trade School Certificate- Apprenticeship / on job training in power station or continuous process Industry.

 

Minimum 8 years experience in maintenance and overhaul of large Steam Turbines and / or Major Inspection of Industrial Gas Turbines. Alternately they may have experience in Overhaul of Large vertical pumps, Power boilers, Multi stage high-pressure pumps etc. The selected candidate should be capable of independently handling the work allocated to him on overhaul of the equipment referred to above. Shall have a fair knowledge of the rigging of parts of large machines and various measuring instruments and precision tools. Shall have capability to align turbine to generator. Shall be able to read and understand machine drawings and should be familiar with fits and tolerances in assembly of machinery. Should be able to converse English language.

 

 

12. Sr. Technician (Machinist)   (NS3)

Higher Secondary School Certificate and Technical School / on job Training in large modern workshop attached to Power station/ petrochemical plant.

 

Minimum should have 8 years experience in a large industry or modern Machine shops attached to the power/petrochemical plants.  The selected candidates should be responsible for the operation of all workshop machines such as lathes, universal drilling machines, boring machines, surface grinders, milling machines, shapers, grinders etc. Shall prepare machine parts as per drawings, sample under the guidance of Engineer. Shall maintain the workshop machines in serviceable condition, and prepare jigs and fixtures when needed. Shall enter records of work done in MMS. Shall ensure safety at work. Shall ensure orderly cleanliness of work area. Shall enter Data in MMS to maintain work records. Should be skilled in working with metallic and non-metallic materials. Should be able to identify the machine components and parts with material standards. Those with experience in programming and operating CNC machines will   have preference.

 

 

13. Mechanic      (NS2)

Higher secondary school certificate followed by trade school certificate. Apprenticeship / on job training in power station or continuous process industry.

 

Minimum 8 years experience in maintenance and overhaul of large Steam Turbines and / or Major inspection of Inspection of Industrial Gas Turbines. Alternately they may have experience in Overhaul of Large vertical pumps, Power Boilers, Multi stage high pressure pumps etc. The selected candidates should be capable of independently handling the work allocated to him on overhaul of the equipment referred to above. Shall have a fair knowledge of the rigging of parts of large machines during overhaul. Shall be quite conversant in use of precision tools. Shall have capability to align turbine to generator. Computer literacy and experience shall be an added advantage.
Shall be able to read and understand machine drawings and should be familiar with fits and tolerances in assembly of machinery.  Shall able to write and read  English language.

 

 

 

14. Sr. Technician/Technician (Welding)  (NS3/NS2)

Secondary school / Trade certificate

Minimum 8 to 10 years experience as a high-pressure welder in large power plants/ fertilizer or petrochemical plants. He should be able to the welding in 6G position and able to carry out X-ray welding joints in alloy steel/stainless steel/and carbon steel pipes and plates. Should have good knowledge of all the welding methods, material selection, selection of welding rods etc. Should have knowledge of various type of welding m/c including plasma, arc and argon, gas cutting, arc gouging etc. He should pass every six-month x-ray welding test under various positions. Knowledge of PVC and HDPE welding will be added advantages. Should hold valid certificate to weld alloy steel pipes and boiler tubes.

 

 

 

15. Oiler      (NS2)

Secondary School certificate.

At least 5 years experience in large power plant or similar plant as an oiler /Greaser. Responsible for lubrication of all equipments/Machinery in the power station as per established schedules and manufactures recommendation. Should have adequate knowledge of lubricants and grease and their use.  Lube replacement, top up and inspection of lubricants and reporting abnormal conditions to supervisor. Maintain lubrication records and account for lubricants during purchasing, stocking and use. Collect oil from stores transport to site and arrange for disposal of used/contaminated lubricants as directed. Ensure good house keeping in the area. Keep tools and equipment used for lubrication in good condition. Follow safety clearances and permit to work. Should be able to read and write English. Experience in mechanical maintenance work is added advantage. 

 

 

16. Technician (Fabrication) (NS2)

Minimum 5 years experience of fabrication of pipelines, steam drums and vessels  in large utility plants or contracting company. Shall have practical experience of all kinds of structural/pipe fabrication. Shall have good knowledge of Machine/engineering drawings. Shall have knowledge of materials and structure. Can able to do any kind of modification, addition to the existing plant structures. Shall be able to read and write English and able to generate and draw fabrication drawings will be additional advantages.
